The classes are starting archaeology today. The will be completing an archaeology webquest found at:

They will be looking at the following sections: What's the Big Idea; Tools of the Trade; Inca Investigation; and Create Your Own Time Capsule

Vocab: archaeology; excavation; artifacts; magnetometer; total station; trowel; sifter screen; time capsule

Concepts: how do archaeologists know where to dig; examples of artifacts; what are some tolls archaeologists use; how can we learn about ancient people through artifacts; what could people 1000 years from now find out about us from our artifacts
